Off Road Rides 01 Ford Ranger

Mike Murray and his '01 Ford Ranger prerunner are locals to the Southern California deserts. His ride is sporting a Dixon Bros. Racing long-travel suspension using Heim steering, King coilovers, Fox bumpstops, Deaver springs, and Camburg shackles. Also found on his ride are Fiberwerx fiberglass fenders and bedsides, a custom-made front bumper, Hella lights, and BFGoodrich tires.

Off Road Rides 05 Dodge Dakota

Jeff Call of Mooresville, Indiana, sends us this photo of his '05 Dodge Dakota ready for a weekend of fun. The truck has been modified with a 2.5-inch leveling kit, 3-inch body lift, 33-inch Pro Comp M/T tires, American Racing black steel wheels, Advanced Engine Management Brute Force intake, Flowmaster muffler, Bushwacker fender flares, and more.

 Off Road Rides Jeep Cj7

Larry Dellinger of Dandridge, Tennessee, is the proud owner of this CJ-7. It sports a '95 350 Chevy LT1, 350 auto transmission, and 205 transfer case, and crawls on a set of 2-1/2-ton Rockwell axles with a homemade suspension and carved 44-inch Super Swamper TSLs. This pic was taken on a trail named School Bus in North Carolina.

Off Road Rides 01 Toyota Fj40

One of our Filipino readers sends us this image of his Toyota FJ40 deep in the forest. He tells us that everything not OEM on the vehicle was built by himself. He scoured the local junkyards and came up with his own homemade suspension system and protection equipment. Nothing like doing it yourself! (Aside from the tires, of course.)

Ouch! That's what we thought when we opened the e-mail Alek Grguric sent us. On an expedition to Colorado, he pulled over to the side of the road to check his map. All of a sudden, he heard some crackling behind him, and then a tree unexpectedly landed on top of his '02 Chevy TrailBlazer. Talk about bad luck! He salvaged what he could and purchased an '06 Chevy TrailBlazer to replace it.

In an effort to show us what daily-driven vehicles are all about, Keith Cramer sends us these images of his '01 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 truck. He purchased the truck from the BLM surplus auction and converted it into his off-road dream truck. He wanted something he could wheel and tow with and also use as a rescue vehicle. He added a Daystar leveling kit and a set of 35-inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain tires to give it a better stance. To up the throttle response, he also had a Hypertech Power Programmer III installed, giving him additional ponies.
